With inventories stabilised and development projects returning, Mach 1 is stepping into a new growth phase. Expanded manufacturing, new rims and smart assembly technology underline the company’s rising momentum for 2025.

Mach 1, the French specialist in rims, spokes and nipples, entered 2025 with renewed momentum. The group now operates seven factories: in France, two in Romania, two in Italy, one in Bulgaria and a new site in Ludhiana, India, serving the local market. “We now have a total capacity of around 9 million rims and 300 million spokes and nipples,” CEO Guillaume Boutte said during an interview at Eurobike 2025.
While 2024 was marked by inventory slowdowns, 2025 shows clear recovery. “Product managers are coming back with new projects. Stocks have mostly cleared, and we’re entering a new development cycle,” Boutte added.
Mach 1 supports these developments with in-house testing to validate wheels before full bike assembly. “We help clients de-risk their projects thanks to our correlation between simulations and physical testing.” Product-wise, the company launched the Kargo XL Plus, a high-load rim for 20-inch cargo bikes, and the Wookx, a lightweight, wide-profile rim for gravel bikes.
Bikebotics, the group’s machinery company, is also growing, notably with several new products and the Smart Aerial Line (SAL), a suspended, modular assembly line designed for better ergonomics and e-bike production. This assembly line ensures operator comfort and efficiency with integrated lighting, low-friction conveyor and 360-degree rotating clamps.
“The Smart Aerial Line is a new business for us, but it’s already in use and scalable,” Boutte said. To complement its machines range, the group has introduced Workshop Production Analysis, real-time monitoring software accessible on any device, allowing workshops to track efficiency and performance instantly, and optimize productivity across the line.
