Cutting-edge tech on show in Frankfurt

With wins at Paris-Roubaix and the Giro d’Italia already in the bag, Prologo [Hall 11 / B21b] has seen a highly successful sponsorship year. Close cooperation with pro cycling teams has always been a core element of the brand’s R&D efforts, and the Predator 01 saddle for TT and triathlon bikes is a prime example. It’s first iteration was developed in close cooperation with the UAE Emirates team. Launched in 2025, this full-carbon construction needed a specific clamp, and at €1200 it was seriously expensive.
But now the second generation — the Predator 02 — is about to be launched for the Tour de France and is being teased at Eurobike. This time the pro teams Visma-LAB and Netcompany Ineos were closely involved in the development. Due to the the use of injected carbon the price has been halved compared to the first generation. The weight is still very impressive, with the narrower, thinly padded version coming in at 159 g and the wider, more padded version weighing 169 g. More technical information is going to be released on July 1, but the Predator 02 is already on display at Prologo’s Eurobike booth.
