From high-torque cargo solutions to lightweight eMTB drives, the Suzhou-based pioneer strengthens its European footprint with upgraded HQs and a broad product portfolio.

Over 22 years, Bafang has established itself as a leading provider of e-drive systems. The Suzhou-based company attributes its success to a strong focus on technological innovation and a keen understanding of evolving market demands. This strategy has allowed Bafang to navigate the volatility in global markets, especially in its core European market. To further enhance its customer service, Bafang has also recently upgraded its European headquarters in the Netherlands.
Bafang’s product line addresses a wide range of applications. For the premium e-mountain bike (eMTB) segment, the company offers the M510 RS mid-drive motor. It provides up to 110 Nm of torque and a sustained max power of 790W, making it a competitive choice at a light weight of just 2.9 kg. Its advanced algorithms and a high-resolution speed sensor ensure precise power delivery. The M510 RS also features a “Sport+” mode that automatically adjusts power output based on the terrain.
Recognizing the growing demand for powerful assistance in the commercial e-cargo bike sector, Bafang developed the M430 Cargo drive system. This motor delivers a maximum torque of 120 Nm and a high-power output of up to 910W. Its remarkable 800% assist ratio is designed to simplify uphill starts and reduce rider fatigue in stop-and-go traffic.
For urban riders seeking a simple, low-maintenance solution, Bafang offers the H730 hub motor. This 3.6 kg motor provides 59 Nm of torque and features an integrated 3-speed automatic gearbox, eliminating the need for manual shifting. Its cable-free design and seamless gear changes make it ideal for flat-area commuting.
