PedalFlow™ Technology: For new generation of riders
The R900 system, delivering 50Nm of torque, shifts perfectly in sync and is specially designed for a new group of riders who want to focus on their ride, not on shifting gears. With this in mind, Ananda has developed PedalFlow™, a patented technology that enables automatic
gear changes for fluid transitions without power loss, even under high torque or heavy load. It allows riders to pedal smoothly while automatic gear transitions happen effortlessly.

The R900 automatically downshifts when you apply more torque to the pedal and reduce speed. Shifting is quick and precise, with a rapid 0.2-second response. The system adapts to you, not the other way around. The system is equipped with three gears, gear 1 provides a low, easy-to-control ratio for starting or climbing, while gear 3 boosts speed for cruising.

Extensive prototype testing, conducted jointly by Ananda, confirmed the effectiveness of the R900, highlighting its significantly improved ongevity. All the components in the motor are optimized to avoid wear and maintenance, even during intensive usage scenarios, demonstrating remarkable durability. Thanks to the R900 complete solution, riders can enjoy a maintenance-free ride and fully focus on the experience.
For bike manufacturers, shifting behavior is fully programmable via CANbus, allowing customization for different riding scenarios. Driven by innovation and Ananda’s R&D expertise, the motor and gearing are housed in a robust casing. Equipped with an IPX6 rating, it is protected against high-pressure water jets, while the ultra- durable sealing and waterproof materials keep dirt and mud out from any angle. The strategically positioned external rotor structure enhances heat dissipation, which results in optimal thermal performance. This containment design ensures that shifting remains unaffected by external conditions and always delivers precise performance.

Unlike mechanical systems, its fully electronic shifting ensures instant responsiveness and consistently smooth transitions. The precisely tuned 3-speed ratio progression (1:1 / 1:1.272 / 1:1.619) enables natural acceleration and control across various riding conditions. With compatibility for both chain and belt drive setups and an OLD of 148mm, the R900 gives OEMs flexibility in drivetrain design without compromising performance or efficiency.
