Austrian company develops world’s smallest e-bike IoT GPS tracker and an SaaS platform.
Austrian company Super Tracker [UÖ-101] has achieved a technological revolution in GPS tracking. As well as GPS positioning, its compact e-bike and e-scooter tracker has CAN bus connectivity that allows direct connection to any e-bike motor.Data about the motor, servicing or battery usage can be analysed, transmitted and updated in real time OTA (over the air).
The IoT module supports the latest mobile transmission standards, such as Bluetooth LTE-M/NB-IoT (narrowband IoT) and 2G as a fallback.
Internal sensors measure temperature, centrifugal forces and vibrations, which can be analysed for trouble-shooting purposes and accident record information as well as for theft reporting.
Thanks to the flexible API (Application Programming Interface) with encrypted data transfer, Super Tracker is able to communicate with all other relevant systems. The platform and backend is modular and is hosted in Europe by AWS (Amazon Web Services).
“We can customize sizes and chip functionalities, even in small quantities, since we have 100% in-house production in Austria” says CEO Richard Hirschhuber, “and we have many years of experience in e-mobility, GPS technology & the automotive industry”. Two years of testing on 3,000 e-bikes have proven the revolutionary technology, he added. The Super Tracker can be retrofitted to any e-bike & e-scooter on the market.
The combination of the IoT tracker, the SaaS (Software as a Service) platform and the app has created great potential for wider sharing & for other mobility solutions.
