Ananda M7600: Ananda Launches New E-Drive System

The Chinese e-drive specialist presents its most advanced mid-drive system to date, now slimmer, stronger and smarter. With up to 120Nm torque and refined sensor technology, the M7600 marks a major step in Ananda’s push into the high-performance eMTB segment.

Ananda has grown rapidly in the micro e-mobility segment. Founded in 2011, the Chinese e-drive supplier now operates five production bases: one factory each in China and Vietnam focusing on e-drive systems for e-bikes and three more plants producing electric motors for e-scooters and e-motorbikes. For European markets, Ananda operates a logistics hub in Hungary and a sales, aftersales and marketing office in Arnhem in the Netherlands. Repairs and refurbishing of drive units are done in Hungary.

The big news from Ananda at Eurobike is their M7600 e-drive system for eMTBs, being shown outside China for the first time. Compared to its predecessor, the mid-drive motor has been reduced in size and weight, while gaining power output. The European version operates at 36V and delivers a maximum torque of 100Nm, along with a peak power of 675W. The American version running on 48V is even more powerful, cranking out up to 120Nm of torque and up to 900W while weighing only 2.7 kg.

Since power is nothing without control, Ananda has also improved the sensors for finely modulated support. This is most obvious with the speed sensor. Whereas previous versions relied on two magnets mounted to the brake rotor, the new tone wheel now gives 42 signals per wheel revolution. “Ananda’s core business is motors and sensors. While we offer HMI solutions as well, our system is open and can be combined with other HMI solutions and third-party batteries,” Thomas Lecoq, Ananda’s European marketing manager, said at the show on Friday.
